Who of Russians are ready to host foreign guests? Cloudjrnl published a rating of domestic cloud providers

Amendments to the «Personal Data protection» Federal Law No. 242-FL, which requires domestic personal data storage, entered into force on 1 September 2015. Foreign companies that process and store information about Russian citizens faced the problem of migrating databases to Russian data centers. Cloudjrnl carried out a monitoring and found out which domestic providers are ready to help foreign companies to migrate into the Russian clouds.

The first step in choosing a cloud service provider for a foreign customer in Russia is the search of a cloud service provider that is ready to seamlessly conduct communication using a foreign language (especially English). Foreign customers are looking for an opportunity to solicit the necessary information on the service provided from a website and to freely communicate with customer sales and the support team at least in English.

Monitoring of Russian cloud providers readiness to interact with foreign customers resulted in a ranking list of 20 companies. Contacting these companies, foreign customers will be able to freely obtain information about the quality and level of reliability of engineering IT infrastructure.

Leading positions of the Top-20 belong to companies with an English version of the site, allow oral communication with sales and support teams in English, are ready to provide a multilingual personal user account and already have a considerable experience of work with foreign clients.
